Questions before your first watch

Straight answers about the game, the current Alpha, account choices, saves, accessibility, content, and feedback.

What is Dutybound: Patrol?

A free browser-based, choice-driven career simulation set in fictional Greybridge. Your reports, relationships, cases, wellness, and city conditions persist across shifts.

Is it free to play?

Yes. The current Alpha can be played without payment.

Do I need an account?

You can create a permanent account or begin a seven-day guest trial. A guest career can be converted from Account Control before it expires.

Does the game save progress?

Yes. Career state persists on the server, and authenticated players also have save-management and export or continuity options.

Is Dutybound police training or legal advice?

No. It is fictional entertainment and does not replace training, policy, legal advice, or real-world judgment.

What content should players expect?

The simulation can address crime, emergencies, injury, trauma, discrimination, substance use, domestic conflict, and career consequences. Content-intensity and warning controls are available in settings.

Which accessibility controls are available?

Current controls include reduced motion, high contrast, larger text, flashing reduction, subtitles, color-vision modes, reading speed, content intensity, and several gameplay-assistance settings.

What does Alpha mean here?

The main playable career is substantial, but bugs, pacing issues, balance problems, and accessibility gaps may remain. External human validation is still open.

How do I report a problem?

Use the Feedback control on any page. It sends the current screen, page path, release context, and only the information you enter to the private Forge feedback hub.
