1. Scope
This policy explains how Dutybound, a Logan Pendragon Forge Lab, handles information when you visit the website, create an account, play the game, change settings, submit feedback, request password recovery, export data, or delete your account.
2. Information you provide
Account creation requires a name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored using secure one-way hashing and are not available to us in readable form. The game also stores the fictional officer details and choices you enter, including names, callsigns, reports, settings, and career decisions. Password-recovery requests and feedback submissions contain the information you choose to provide.
3. Gameplay and technical information
Dutybound stores career progress, academy results, watch preparation, dispatch activity, incidents, discovered facts, resolutions, reports, evaluations, messages, statistics, display settings, and save timestamps. Standard server logs may record IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, response codes, and security events. Session identifiers are used to keep you signed in securely.
4. Analytics
Dutybound may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site and gameplay milestones such as page visits, account registration, career creation, watch starts, report submission, and settings updates. Analytics events are designed not to include your email address, password, officer-report text, or other player-authored narrative content. Google may process technical information according to its own terms and privacy practices.
5. How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts; save and restore careers; operate game systems; provide password recovery, exports, and deletion; prevent abuse; diagnose errors; measure performance; answer feedback; improve accessibility and content; comply with law; and protect Dutybound, Logan Pendragon Forge, and users.
6. Sharing
Personal information is not sold. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to host, secure, measure, communicate, or maintain Dutybound, subject to their applicable agreements. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a legitimate transfer of the service with appropriate protections.
7. Retention
Account and gameplay records are retained while the account remains active. Server, security, recovery, and analytics records may be retained for a limited period according to operational need. Backups may retain deleted information temporarily until normal backup rotation completes. Information may be retained longer when reasonably required for fraud prevention, security investigation, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
8. Your controls
You may review account information, export the current career record, revoke other signed-in sessions, update display settings, reset your password, or permanently delete the account through the account controls. If an automated control is unavailable, use the feedback system or contact Logan Pendragon Forge. Identity verification may be required before acting on a privacy request.
9. Security
Dutybound uses HTTPS, hashed passwords, session protection, request validation, cross-site request-forgery protection, access controls, security headers, rate limits, and server-side ownership checks. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
10. Children
Dutybound is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where required.
11. International use and changes
Information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by service providers. Applicable privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. This policy may be updated as the game, providers, or legal obligations change; the effective date will identify the latest published version.
